We Are Here to Help!

Quality Care Limited is located in Catford within the London Borough of Lewisham, that provides supported housing for male young people seeking help with their independence and life skills. We are located on a residential road, close to a range of attractions and amenities, including schools, libraries, creative parks and excellent public transit connections. Battersby House is a semi-detached home with four bedrooms for young people and a large garden. The housing offers an amazing living environment that is specifically designed for its intended usage. The home features a large, well-kept backyard with a barbecue area and a small driveway at the front. Battersby House has conducted rigorous risk assessments for its occupancy, facilities, installations, and equipment. To ensure the continuous safety and well-being of all young people, staff, and visitors to the accommodation. These risk evaluations are an important part of our management processes, which are dedicated to the continual improvement of quality and are designed to comply with the most modern health and safety requirements.

Our Aims and Objectives

Our objective at Hope Quality Care Limited is for young people to live in a clean, comfortable, safe environment and for them to be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities. Staff will be responsive to the individual needs of the young people and will provide the appropriate degree of support to ensure the highest possible quality of life within Battersby House. Battersby House aims to provide support to all our residents/young people to a standard of excellence that embraces fundamental principles of Good Care Practice (the 9 Quality Care Standard) that can be witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality support at Battersby House. To meet these young people’s needs, the support service within Battersby House is designed to achieve the following objectives: Our mission is to deliver a service of the highest quality that will improve and sustain each young person's overall quality of life. To ensure that the support service is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non-discriminatory fashion while respecting each individual's right to independence, privacy, dignity, and fulfilment, and the right to make informed choices and to take age-appropriate risks, having a clear voice in their care. To ensure that each young person’s needs and values are respected in matters of religion, culture, race, or ethnic origin, sexuality and sexual orientation, political affiliation, disabilities, and/or impairments. To ensure that the support service as a whole is delivered following agreed outcomes and contracts for support when needed. In order to meet the support needs of young people, we must manage and implement a formal program of staff planning, selection, recruitment, training, and personal development. The goal is to manage the support service efficiently and effectively to make the best use of resources and to maximise value for money for the young people. The goal is to consistently achieve and maintain the quality care standard. The aim is to ensure that each young person's social workers and, where appropriate, parents or careers, receive written information on the accommodation's procedure for handling complaints, concerns, comments, and compliments, and how to use it.

SERVICE USER FEEDBACK—CONSULTATION WITH YOUNG PEOPLE

One way that Hope Quality Care Limited engages in continuous quality improvement is by actively seeking feedback
from service users, including young people. By consulting with this demographic, businesses can gain valuable
insights into their preferences, opinions, and experiences, allowing them to tailor their products and services to
better meet their needs. This collaborative approach not only demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction
but also fosters a sense of trust and loyalty among young consumers. By incorporating their feedback into decisionmaking
processes, companies can ensure that they are constantly evolving and adapting to remain relevant in a
competitive marketplace.
There is a formal process for seeking the views and opinions of young people regarding their perceived quality of
the support services provided at Hope Quality Care Limited. This process revolves around the distribution of
questionnaires to young individuals and/or their families. The questionnaires aim to gather perspectives on the
following facets of the Home’s Care Services.

STAFF FEEDBACK

Staff feedback is also an important aspect of maintaining high standards of care within the accommodation. We hold
regular staff meetings to discuss any issues or concerns that may have arisen, and we encourage feedback from all
team members as well as through questionnaires. We consider this feedback when making decisions about the
service’s operation and implementing improvements. By valuing the input of both service users and staff members,
we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritises the well-being and satisfaction of all
individuals involved.
At Hope Quality Care Limited, young people and family members/friends are actively encouraged to participate in
the support planning process to ensure that their needs and preferences are taken into account. We believe that
including everyone in the decision-making process leads to better outcomes and a person-centred approach to care.
Our goal is to create a sense of ownership and empowerment among all stakeholders while fostering a strong sense
of community and trust within the organisation.

EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY

At Hope Quality Care Limited, we believe that promoting equality and diversity is essential in creating a positive and
inclusive work environment. Regardless of their race, gender, age, or background, we strive to treat all employees
and residents fairly and with respect. By embracing diversity, we can celebrate the unique perspectives and talents
that each individual brings to our team, ultimately leading to increased creativity and success for our organisation.
We put the needs of our young adults and residents first and foremost, ensuring that their voices are heard and their
needs are met.
At Hope Quality Care Limited, we understand that promoting equality and diversity goes beyond just treating
employees fairly. It also means creating a culture where everyone feels valued and included, where differences are
not only accepted but celebrated. We provide ongoing training and support to our staff to help them better
understand and appreciate the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our young adults and residents. By
fostering an environment of respect and understanding, we can better meet the individual needs of those in our care
and truly make a positive impact in their lives.
We also reflect this practice in our safety and recruitment process to ensure that all employees uphold these values.
This commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in our hiring practices, where we strive to create a team that is
representative of the communities we serve. We actively seek out candidates from diverse backgrounds and provide
equal opportunities for all applicants. By building a team that reflects the diversity of our residents, we are better
